چکیده مقاله:
The use of lightweight concrete (LWAC) is a good way to lighten structures, reduce dead load and thus reduce seismic force. Due to the use of lightweight materials (LWA), there are weaknesses in the mechanical properties of lightweight concrete. One way to compensate for LWAC vulnerabilities is to use the optimal amount of fiber. In this review study, the effects of adding different amounts of different fibers on the workability, and mechanical properties of LWAC are fully investigated. Adding different types of fibers, especially steel fibers individually and combining with other fibers, reduces the efficiency and slump of fresh lightweight concrete mix. However, the use of different types of fibers, especially single and composite steel fibers, significantly improves mechanical properties such as tensile strength, flexural strength and flexural stiffness, and crack resistance. However, it should be said that the addition of fibers has little effect on improving the compressive strength, and even if high amounts of fibers are used, the compressive strength is reduced compared to the fiber-free sample.
