Analysis of Imam Hossein Square in Tehran by space syntax method

The geometry of the Iranian cities looks random or arbitrary but shows a living structure with a full range of scales of length and orientation. In this research ,we analyze the Imam Hossein of Tehran using the space syntax method and Depthmap software. This Square , after Azadi Square, is the largest square in Tehran and experiences a high level of traffic congestion .The data obtained from the interview were very valuable for use in the swot method to analyze the study area. Lake of green space and urban furniture,Visual disturbance, Dissatisfaction with the placement of metal walls in the square was identified in interviews with individuals.Finally,suggestions were made for sustainable development. The purpose of the article was to guide the thrive of this area ,because the places that will thrive are those prepared to grow to improve a city’s quality of life.
