چکیده مقاله:

Colloidal luminesce nt semiconductor nanoc rystals (NCs), also kno wn as quan tum dots ( Q-dots), have attracted considerable attention due to their significant potential ap plication [۱ ]. Quantum size effe cts (QSE) associated with the low dimensionality lead to several remarkab le modifica tions in the physical properties of materials [۲,۳]. Co-doped ZnS N Ps were synthesized by the procedure reported in our previously work [۴,۵]. Here, we report t he results o f our study o n the PL characterizatio n of Cu+۲-M n+۲ co-dope d ZnS Q-dots.Results and Discussion :Fig. ۱ shows the absorption spectra of doped and co-doped CdS nanoparticles. On doping, absorptio n spectra s houlder is red shift from ۲۷۸ nm to ۲۸۵(۲۸۳) nm for Cu (Mn:Cu ), respectively. Furthermore, for calculating th e direct ban d gap value (Įhȣ) ۲ as a function of h ȣ is plotted and it is sh own in Fig. ۱ (right gr aph). From the value of band gap s hift and usin g Brus model [۶] the s ize of nanoparticles ha ve been calc ulated and those are shown in Fig. ۲ (right gr aph). The band gap of th e semiconductor becom es lower with increasing particle si ze (Fig. ۲), and is indicated by an absorption shift to higher wavelen gths. Photoluminescen ce spectra of un/co-doped ZnS nano particles ar e shown in F ig.۳.
