چکیده مقاله:

Recent research e ntails inves tigations of non-covale nt organic assemblies or aggregates on nanom eter scales because thei r optical pr operties sign ificantly dif fer from tho se of monomeric species [۱]. Por phyrin nan oparticles are promisi ng components of chemical advanced materials because of the rich photochem istry, stability and proven catalytic activity [۲]. In partic ular, water soluble porphyrins are very interesti ng because their self-a ggregation can be conveniently controlled by screening the charge rep ulsion through the ionic strength an d pH [۳]. In the present study, we attempt to prepare na noparticles of a water-s oluble porphyrin bearing a long alkyl chain as peripheral gr oups. For this, an ion as sociation method was e mployed in which form ation of nano-sized particles occurs through ion pairing between moderately hydrophillic cationic porphyrin and tetrap henylborate ( TPB) whi ch acts as a hydrophobic anion.Mate rials and m ethod:meso-Tetrakis(۱-n onylpyridinum-۴-yl)po rphyin chloride (TNPy P) was prep ared based on a previous report. , Poly vinyl pyrrolidone (PVP;aver age Mw = ۱ ۰,۰۰۰ Aldrich ) and so dium tetrap henylborate ( Na TPB) were used as received. The TNPyP nanoparticles have been synthesized by ion association method at room temperature. TNPyP solution was added to a solution of PVP and TFB under ultrasonic and sonication was continued for ۱۵ min.
