Magnesium fluoride (MgF۲) i s known as a significa nt alkaline-earth fluoride which has been attention to, beca use of its a mple applic ations as an optical material for anti-reflective (AR) coatings and polar izing light [۱]. MgF۲ can be applied as anti-reflection coating material in the energ y about to۳ eVi.e, in th e mid visible region and it is a good reflector material f or the vacuum ultraviole t radiation [۲]. MgF۲ has a good potential transmit into the VUV region (۱۲۱nm) and beyond. So it is used for UV optics and is mostly applied for Excimer laser applications [۳-۴]. MgF۲ has low refractive index (۱ .۳۸). Magnesium Fluoride polishes well and is a hard material. So, it can be applied to beet standards [۵].
