چکیده مقاله:

Vario us process industries such as textile , pulp and paper producing factories, dyeing plants, paint and ink producers use huge quantities of dyes. Decolorization of dye- containing waste waters is difficult since dyes are stable an d resistant to light. For these reasons, it is nece ssary to find simple an d inexpensive procedures for dye removal from industrial colored waste waters . Moreover, the presen ce of dyes in water poses aesthetic problems and may cause serious ecological problems including l oss of photosynthetic a ctivity of a quatic plants by reduc ed light pe netration. A dsorption is one of the common and effici ent waste water treatment techniq ues, which is based on transfer of solute molecules onto an active adso rbent surface. The adsorption is superior to other dye rem oval techniques in ter ms of initial cost, simplicity of desi gn, and easiness of oper ation. Nanomaterials are becoming important o wing to their special ph ysical and chemical pr operties. The size, surface structure and interpa rticle intera ction of nanomaterials concur on their uniq ue propertie s and make their potential application in many areas. In order to i ncrease the surface are a of adsorb ent, nanopar ticles based adsorbent w as selected for the dye adsorption [ ۱-۳].
