چکیده مقاله:

Dyes are extensively use d in textiles, paper, rubber, plastics, lea ther, cosm etics,pharmaceuticals and food industries, resulting in a stea dily growin g demand andproduction.With the increasi ng use of dyes, pollution from dye wastewat er is becoming a serious environm ental problem.A number of promising techniqu es have bee n establishe d for elimination of hea vy metals a nd dyes from contaminated waters. Adsorptio n appears to offer the be st advantages, althoug h the chemical degradation and the biodegradation approaches also find applications. The n anoparticle s have very interesting physicochemical prop erties, such a s ordered s tructure wit h high aspec t ratio, ultr a-light weight, high me chanical stre ngth, electrical and thermal conductivity, and high speci fic surface area. They have unsatu rated atoms on their surfaces, hence , they can bind readily most of the other atoms. The objective of this study was to compare the efficiency of gold nano particle loaded on activ ated carbon (Au-NP-AC) for the removal of methyl ora nge (MO) molecules a nd sunset yellow (SY) from aqueous solutions. For obtaini ng maximum dye removal the effec t of significant to param eters such a s pH, concentration of MO and S Y, amount o f AU-AC, contact time and on re moval percen tage of these dyes in batch meth od by one a t a time op timization method has been investigated [۱-۳].
