چکیده مقاله:

The electrochemical oxidation of for maldehyde is interesting, becaus e it is us ed in techno logically im portant processes such as textile industry and e lectroless copper plating [۱]. Platinum and its alloys are regarded as i deal catalyst s for formaldehyde oxidation. How ever, one of the limitin g factors is that Pt and i ts alloys have high cost. Therefore, there is a strong appete ncy to redu ce the Pt d osage in the catalysts. Thus, in this work, w e have fabricated Cu/Pt bimetallic particles on to carbon nanotube p aste electro de via galvanic replac ement reacti on. The ele ctrocatalytic oxidation of formaldehyde was studied at the surface of this modified electrod e. Mate rials and m ethods: Prepa ration of the carbon nanotube pas te electrod e (CNTPE) was performed as rep orted previously [۲]. Copper particles were electrodepos ited for ۱۵ min by usi ng potentio static method in ۰.۱ M H۲SO۴ solution containing ۰.۱ M copper chloride onto CNTPE. Th e as-prepared substrate was used as a sacrificial matrix for deposition of Pt particles by imm ersing the ele ctrode in ۲.۰ mM H۲Pt Cl۶ solution for ۲۵ min v ia galvanic replacement reaction.
