Effect o f different acids to functionalization c arbon nan otubes

Chemical functio nalization is a procedure used in materials science to oxid ize the surfa ce of materials. Several researchers use this technique to improve carbon n anotubes (C NTs) intera ction and dis persion. The present article evaluates the effect of different functionali zation methodologies on dispersion of CNTs in aqueous media. Hence, outset CNTs were imm ersed in two different acidic media such as H۲ SO۴/HNO۳ and H۲SO۴/HNO۳/HCl. Afterwards sake survey the creati on of functional groups on CNTs, used analysis of raman spectroscopy, transf orm fourier infrared spe ctroscopy.T he peresenc e of hydrox yl and carboxylic functional groups on CNTs was proved using of this analysis. Also, it was photog raphed fro m the nanot ubes by the Electron microscopy before and after the act hoi and the functionali zation was id entified. Ho wever, by the analysis, dispersion in aqueous media has be en observed , that using from two media with ۱۲ Molar density and heat can attraet som e of the suitable functional groups on the carbo n nanotubes tubes surfa ce [۱-۴].
