Hydrothermal and Sonochemical Synthesize of nano TiO ۲ by Acid Leaching

Titanium dioxide is widely used in the manufacture of paints, varnishes, lacquer, paper,paper board, print ing inks, rubber, floor covering, and ceramics and so on. White tita nium dioxide pigment has been produced by two main processes. The sulfate and the chloride proces ses. Each o f these two routes req uires a different feedsto ck. Howev er, economic and environmental pre ssures are shifting the world balan ce of titanium dioxide production away from sulphate based manufacture towards the more cost effective and cleaner chloride route. This so-called chloride process has been reported by several researchers [۱,۴].
