چکیده مقاله:

Graphene oxide is a two-dim ensional material which consists of only one single atomic layer of carbon, oxygen , and hydrogen. In rece nt years this material has become the most exciting topics. Graphene has attracted much attention from researchers due to its inter esting mecha nical, electrochemical, and electronic properties. It has ma ny potential applications such as polymer filter, sensor, en ergy conversion, energy storage de vices and the medical field. Graphene oxide is a chemic al intermediate for the manufacture of graphene, another two-dimensional material but only consists of a single atomic lay er of carb on. In this study graph ene oxide was obtained through Hummers met hod. The ma terial was then sonicat ed for exfoliation. The o btained materials were characterized by FTIR , XRD, SEM, TGA an d the percen tage purity of the synthesized material was in vestigated with EDX. Significant effort has b een dedicate d to both theoretical and experim ental investigation of w ater on graphitic surfaces. In general, the hy drophobic nature of the graphene is common ly observe d and revealed on the macro scale a s a large contact angle, i.e. up to ۹۳°, between a water droplet (~۱ µl) and graphene surface. aga inst graphe ne, graphen e oxide with a high hyd rophilic pro perty that is. However, being hydrophilic, gra phene oxide disperses readily in water, breaki ng up into macroscopic flakes, mostly one layer thick . We do this while larg e scale synthesis graph ene oxide ex periments d esigned to Hummers m ethod with hydrophilic properties o f this substance is also p aid to review. In this work we stud y the water contact angle with the su rface of graphene oxide paid. The r esults indicate that the h ydrophilic properties of this materi al is.
