چکیده مقاله:

In recent yearscomposites reinforced with nanoparti cles have caught the attention of many researchers and e ngineers. In nanocompositematerials, the particles are dispersed throug h the polymer matrix i n the nano meter range at least in one dimension. In pol ymer compo sites, nanosilica is one of the widel y used fillers. In recent years, there have been many public ations dedica ted exclusivelyto the effect of nanosilica on mechanical properties of thermoplastic comp osite, howev er there are not many reports related to the effec t of nanosilicaon mech anical prope rties of wood plastic composite[۱-۶]. In this study, the effect of nanos ilica particles on practi cal propertie s of wood plastic composite made of high density polyethylene and OCC fiber were investigated. To achieve this aim, OCC fiber were mixed w ith high d ensity polyethylene at ۳۰% by weight, and nanosilica with ۰, ۱and ۳% respectively, also ۲ % of MAP E was used a s the coupling agent in allformulation. Then samples were made in inj ection molding and mec hanical properties weretested according to AST M standard. Results indi cated flexural strength, tensile stren gth, flexural modulus, tensile modulus, elongation at break , and hardn ess increase d with na nosilica loading, however impact strength was decrease d by increasing of nano silica particles.
