چکیده مقاله:
Oxidation and red uction of s ulfur-based compounds are two fundamental ch emical reactions, and both reactio ns have be en intensive ly studied in recent years due to the biological, economic and env ironmental bene¿ts. A mong the variety of metal complexes that have been used for the deo xygenation of sulfoxi des and oxygenation of sul¿des, oxomolybdenum complexes have attracted considerable attention, because molybdenum is found in a cl ass of enzym es that catalyze oxyge n atom trans fer to or fr om a physiological subs trates. Transition metal complexes are well known for th eir catalytic activities in the oxid ation as well as reduction of orga nic substrate s and for the synthesis of ¿ne che micals. Their immobilis ations on solid support s provide certain addi tional characteristic properties suc h as selec tivity, thermal stability, and easy separation from the reaction mixture and recycle ability. Sup ports for ca talytic syste ms can be in organic or o rganic. Inor ganic matrices have potential advan tagesof offering excellent chemical, thermal and mechanical stability. Highly dispersed inorganic materials with controlled particle di mension and pore di ameter and dimension are commercially available. Som e of the com monly use d supports are molecular sieves, ze olites, clays, metal oxid es, carbon, etc. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) because of their exceptional surface structures, high electrical condu ctivities, relatively large surface areas, and high mechanical ,chemical and electrochemical stabilities,have been utilized as novel supports for metal catalysts۱-۴
