چکیده مقاله:

White light-emitti ng diodes (LEDs) are anticipated to be the f ourth genera tion light source follow ing the incandescent ¿lament lam ps, Àuores cent lamps and high-p ressure discharge lamps, as a consequence of t heir high brightness, lo w power consumption, long lifetime and environment friendly situation existence [۱-۴]. Since UV LED can offer an ef ficient solid state light, more and more attentio n has been paid to the d evelopment of new phos phors that can be excited in the ran ge of near-UV due to the essential efficiency improveme nt of white light emitting solid-state devices [۵]. In recent years, silicate-base d phosphor s have attr acted researcher’s attention due to the advantages of st able crystal structure a nd high thermal stability [۶, ۷]. A mong them, Eu-doped strontium sili cate phosph or seems to have the potential for th e application of various optical dev ices [۸, ۹]. These phosphors show interesting optical prope rties that are related to electronic tr ansitions between the ۴f ground state and the crystal ¿eld components of the ۴f ۵d excited state con¿guration [۱۰].Am ong the different meth ods to prepare precursor s, the sol-gel route is on e of the most important techniques for the synthesis of various functional materials.Many researchers are engaged in the luminescent property of Eu ion s in differe nt silicate co mpositions. But, there is high techn ological need for developing novel phosphors w ith high efficiency, sta bility and lo w cost.
