Synthesis a nd chara cterizatio n of CdS quantum d ots cappe d with the different amino acids and thioglicolic ac id (TGA).

The luminescent semicondu ctor quantu m dots inc luding II–IV and III–V semicond uctor Nano crystals. T hey use su ch as fluorescent mar kers in molecular and cellular labeling, imaging, sensing and diagnostics [۱–۳]. CdS quantum dots (QD s) have attracted consid erable attention over th e past decades due to th eir unique pr operties andpotential applications [ ۴, ۵].In t his paper, the simple route for synthesis of CdS QDs in aqueous solution was introduced.We studied the effects of th e different amino acids and TGA, initial molar ratio and p H on the ph otolumines cenceintensity, emission and absorption wavele ngth of CdS QDs.
