SnSNa nocrystalline Thin F ilms:Com positiona l, Structuraland Opti calproper ties

The re cent investigations in t he field of photovoltaic are directed towards the development of cost effective and nontoxic materials that can be synthesized by a simple technology for solar cell fabrication [۱]. Tin sulphide (SnS) ha s a near optimum energy band gap, additionall y SnS has the advantage of its constituent ele ments being abundant in nature and not posing any health and enviro nmental hazards. There fore, SnS can be potent ially used a s a solar absorber in a thin film sola r cell and near-infrared detector, as photovoltaic materials [۲,۳]. In this paper we report the suc cessful deposition of n anostructured SnS thin films at ۲ ۵ and ۵۰ ° C and investigate the principal characteristics of these films.
