Growth and character ization ofnanocrys tallineCdS e thin fil ms depositedBy c hemical b ath depo sition method

Nanoc rystallineC dSe (Eg (bu lk) =۱.۷ e V) thin film s have received considerable atte ntion because of their tunable ban d gap, which can vary their optical response from the in frared region to the ultraviolet [۱,۲]. Among var ious metho ds used for preparing thin films of CdSe, the chemical deposition (CD) is an easy, convenience, fast and economically available method [۳]. In this work, we report the preparation of nanocrystalline CdSe thin films in a neutral medium as a new chemical bath deposition route. The resultin g films are characterized in terms of composition, nanocry stalline structure, surfa ce morphology and opti cal properties.
