Thermodynamic investigation of the removal of titan yellow dye fr om aqueo us solution

The industrial wastewater usually contains a variety of organic com pounds and toxic substances which are h armful to fis h and other aquatic. It is well known that textile industries, pulp mills and d yestuff ma nufacturing discharge highly colored waste waters which have p rovoked s erious e nvironmental concerns all over the world [۱]. Dyes can b e classified as anionic (direct, acid , and reactive dye s), cationic ( basic dyes) and non-ion ic (disperse dyes) [۲]. Milling of rice crop pro duced rice husk as agriculture waste material having n o commercia l significance. Approximately ۸۰ million tons of rice h usk are obt ained annua lly. In the presen t work, it is aimed to investigate th e adsorption equilibrium of titan yellow on rice husk,a t ۱۰, ۱۵, ۲۵, ۳۰, ۳۵, ۴ ۰ and ۴۵ °C. This stu dy was also undertaken to evaluat e thermody namic p arameters of the adsorption at different tempera tures above.
