Ap plication of Au Nano Particles Modified Carbon Paste Electrod e for Simultaneous Determin ation of Tryptoph an, Uric Acid and Ascorbic Acid

Chemic al modification of the electrode surface is a strategy for improving the a nalytical perform ance of c onventional electrodes for variou s applications especi ally sensor s. Metal nanoparticles suc h as gold nanoparticles, owing to their small dimensional size, good conductivity and e xcellent catalytic activity have been demonstrated to be very app ropriate for the developme nt of modifi ed electrodes [۱,۲].Trypto phan (Trp) is an essen tial amino a cid that humans cannot live without consum ing [۳]. Uric acid (UA), the principal final pro duct of purine metabo lism, is present in blood and urine [۴ ].Ascorbic acid (A A) is a water soluble vitamin pr esent in m any biological system s and in multivitamin preparations [۵ ]. It is e ssential to exploit si mple and rapid meth ods for determination of these biological molecules in routine analysis. In present stu dy, Au nanoparticles modified carbon paste electrode (AuNPs/CPE), was constructed and used for simultaneous determination of Trp, UA a nd AA. The detection of Trp, UA and AA i n human serum was finally demonstrated as real s ample applications.
