چکیده مقاله:
The dopant incorp orated into inherently conductin g polymers during syn thesis is known to have a substantial effect on the physical and chem ical properties of the resultant material. There has been considerabl e interest in the incor poration of polyelectr oyte as dopants for conducting polymers. Fully sulfonated polyaniline, poly(۲-methoxyaniline-۵-sulfon ic acid) (PMAS), is a conductive an d electroactive polyel ectrolyte that has bee n recently used for synthesis of polyaniline with improved properties [۱, ۲].As an acidic polyelectrolyt e PMAS provides counterions, an acidic microenviroment a nd a templa te for electrostatic alignments of aniline monomers for pro ducing the conducting form of polyanilin e. electro chemical polymerisation of aniline in t he presence of PMAS has been recently reported to give a water insoluble film [ ۲]. The ele ctrodeposition of the polyaniline material is enhanced by the presence of the electrically conducting PMAS pol yelectrolyte dopant, which functions as a molecular templateprovidi ng supramolecular pre-ordering as well as simulta neously facilitatingcharge transport during electrodeposition. The present p aper an alternate electroc hemical s ynthesis r oute of PAn in modification of electrode surface by polyelecrtrolyte which PMAS acts as an electroactive and e lectrically conductive dopant polyelectrolyte.Theelectrode was modified with constant potential o r potentio dynamic techniques in an aqueous solution of PMAS resulted in Adsorption of PMAS wh ich was stable in polymeris ation solution of anili ne.
