چکیده مقاله:

The electrochemical reduction of oxy gen is one of the most important reactions in electroc hemistry due to its central r ole in fuel cells, metal-air batteries and in the electros ynthesis of hydrogen peroxide[۱]. Findin g a low-cost electrocatalyst for oxygen reducti on reaction(ORR) is an important issue in view of its practical application in clean energy generation systems[۲] . Although non-noble metals catalysts hav e been inve stigated and use d for oxygen reductio n, Pt and its alloys are one of th e best electrocatalysts for use toward s the oxygen reduction . In order to enhance the electro catalytic activity, the u se of Pt seems inevitable, but its pric e is high. A n effective way to de crease the c ost is lowe ring the amount of Pt by m aking high dispersed Pt particles on carbon supports. Carbon materials are of spec ial interest due to their outstanding properties, such as their t unable sha pe, size, porosit y, corrosion resistance, chemical stability, lo w cost, electrical con ductivity, and good thermal resistance. The combination of all these cha racteristics has promoted the use of these materials as electr ode supports. It is well known that conductin g polymers (CPs) wit h porous structures and high surface areas have been proved to be suitable host mat erials for dispersion of Pt p articles. The reason for the incorp oration of Pt particles into the po rous matrixes is to increase the specific surface a reas of them and thus improve their electroc atalytic activity[۳]. Recently, we have reported Platinu m/CTAB-m-tuloidine carbon p aste electrode for electroc atalytic oxygen reduct ion in acid medium.
