Solvent poly meric mem brane based ISEs, together w ith the incorporation of io n carriers, have show n to be a very useful to ol for clinical, enviro nmental, and che mical analyses as well as for pr ocess monitoring. Pote ntiometric detection b ased on ion-sele ctive electrodes (ISEs) offer the advantage s of speed and ease of preparat ion and proced ures, relativ ely fast re sponse, reasonable selectivity thorough judicious choice of the membr ane active materials, w ide linear dynamic range, and lo w cost [۲, ۳]. In this research, we wis h to report the preparation a Er۳+ P VC-based membrane electrode based on ۳-hydroxy-N'-((pyridin-۲-yl) methylene)n aphthalene-۲-carbohydrazide (L) as an neutral ion carri er.
