Several researchers have employed differ ent post treatments after the synth esis of pol ymer films; however, th ere are no systematic studies on this aspect. On the o ther hand, when a polyaniline layer was deposited first and the el ectropolym erization w as continued in a solutio n of poly an iline (PANI), a progressive transf ormation of the electrochemical behavior of the original polyaniline film has been observed. The polyaniline promo tes the polymerization b y providing electrocatalytic sites and n ucleation c enters. Th us, the conducting polyaniline surfac e is protected well an d leads to better modification. Chemical polymerization of PANI also leads to ne wer polymers.
