چکیده مقاله:

Hydrochloric acid is often used as a pic kling acid foriron and its alloys. The main goal is to remove undesirable corrosio n products. To make secure fro m attack of acid, inhi bitorsare frequently used. O rganic nitrogen comp oundson t he corrosion behaviour of steel in acidic solutio ns are usually employed for their rapid actio n [۱–۶]. The existing d ata show t hat most of the o rganic inhibitors act b y adsorptio n on the m etal surface. The adsorption of in hibitors takes place throu gh heteroatoms such as nitrogen, oxygen,phosphorus and sulphu r, triple bonds o r aromatic rings. Theinhibition efficiency sh ould increa se in the o rder O < N steel in ۱M HCl by new synthesised isoxazole compounds has b een studied by weight loss, impedance spec roscopy (EIS) measurements. The results obt ained reveal that th ese compounds are efficient inhibito rs. The inhibition effi ciency incre ases with the increase of inhibitor concentration and reached ۹۸% at ۱۰í۳ M. The temperat ure effect o n the corro sion behav iour of steel in۱M HCl without and w ith the iso xazole at ۱۰ í۳M was s tudied in t he temperature range from ۲۹۸ to ۳۱۳ K. EIS measurements show that the increase of th e transfer resistance with the inhibito r concentration. The aim of this work is to study the inhibiti ng effect of newly synthesized ( ۴-bromophenl)isoxazol-۵- yl)methanol on steel in ۱M HCl. For this w ork, first we synthesized the above compoun d. ۴bromophenyl (۱) was t ransformed to ۴-bromop henylbenz aldoxime (۲) by using NH۲OH in pyridine. The in situ generated nitriloxide from re action bet ween (۲) and NaOCl, was react ed with pr opargylalcohol to pro duce (۴-bromop henyl)isoxazole-۵-yl) methanol (۳) in a cycloaddition procedure. The molecular structure of this compound is shown below. Th e effect of (۴-bromo phenyl)isoxazol-۵-yl)meth anol(TMT ) on the co rrosion of steel in hydrochloric a cid medium was studi ed using gravimetric, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements.
