The view that Alzheimer,s disease is a f atal outcome of ageing p revails ove r the view th at it mainly affects people aged ۷۵-۹۵. Alzh eimer,s disease (AD) is a centralnervous s ystem disorder that gradually increases in seve rity with age resulting in memory loss, behavioral change s and a dec line in thinking abilities . Conne ctions betwe en individual neurons are destro yed in the AD brain du e to the formationof neurofibrillary tangles a nd senile plaques which obstruct,da mage and le ad to the eventual death of many neu ral cells. A QSAR study was perfor med in an attempt to explore the pharmac ophore of some polyamines as anti - alzhei mer agents.
