Mixed Micelliz ation of Gemini Surfactants and Conventional Surfactan ts: A Monte Carlo Simulation

In recent years, novel surfactants such as Gemini have attracted much atte ntion becau se of their u nique prop erties similar low CMC values and their strong er efficacy in decreasin g the surface tension of water. Ge mini is spe cial kind of surfactants made up of two identical amphiphilic moieties connect ed by a spacer [۱]. Because of their high cost, G emini surfactants are lik ely to be used in comb ination wit h conventio nal surfacta nts. Gemini surfactants when mixed with single chain surfa ctants show ed synergistic mixing behavior [۲-۳].The objectives of this study were the inv estigation a lattice mo del of mixed micellization of Gemi ni and conve ntional surfactants.
