Uracil (U) plays a fundamental role in basic biological processes. The quant itative analysis of uracil is very essential and me dically significant in some instances [۱,۲]. Uracil contains many conse cutive hydr ogen-bond donor and acceptor groups, which makes it i deal for studying hydrogen-bond in teractions. N-nitrosamines (NA) compounds are one im portant class of naturally occurring carcinoge ns. N-nitrosa mines are l atent carcino gens and require cytoch rome P۴۵۰ mediated Į-oxidation fo r their conv ersion into the active carcinogens [۳].The structure, stability and prot on transfer in H-bonded complexes formed from interactio n between uracil (U) an d (NA) have been investigated.
