چکیده مقاله:

Heterofullerenes became a subject of research in terest soon after the establishment of fullere ne research itself. The fullerenes containing bo ron and/or nitrogen atoms represen t one distin guished class, though other elements have been combined with the full erenes too. Boron nitride (BN) is a s ynthetic III -V compoun d with extr aordinary mechanical, t hermal, electrical, optical, and chemical properties widely a pplied for technological purposes. Since BN units are isoelectronic with hexagonal BN possess ing a graph ene-like la yered struct ure, BN becomes the na tural candi date to form heterofulle renes, whic h results in a certain isomorphism . BN crystalline samples were synthesized at room tem perature and atmosph eric pressure as struct ures containing hexagonal sp۲-bond ed sheets isomorphic with grapheme. Sever al studies have been made on BN nanom aterials such as BN nanotubes, BN nanocapsules, and BN clusters since they have excellent properties such as heat resistan ce in air and insulation, and these nano-particles are exp ected to be useful as el ectronic devices, high heat resistance semico nductors, and insulat or lubricants.Since the thermody namic conditions for growth of BN nanotubes from nuclei are still not well-define d, comprehensive theoretical simulations on these nanotubes continue to attract enh anced attention, and th e lack of the oretical thermodynamic data precludes a more detailed analysis. T his investig ation focuse s on the B۵ N۵C۸H۱۸ cluster as a new material fo r drug delivery.
