چکیده مقاله:

In particular, polyeth ylene terephthalate (PET), member of the polyester family of polymers, has man y applicatio ns in synthetic fibers, d rink, food, liquid containers, and the other utility in chemistry and tec hnology, which have attracted great attention due to large sp ecific surfa ce areas and high adsorption rates. Since the presence of he avy metal i ons in wastewater may be harmful to human beings and all living bodies, therefore metal removal from water contamin ations is an important environmental concernin waste management. Consequently, commerc ial polyeth ylene tereph thalate are mainly use d as a separation pro cesses due to function alizing gro ups. Polyethylenetere phthalate can easily transforme d to fibro us adsorbent by grafting acrylic ac id/acryl amide (AA/A Am) comon omers onto poly PET. In this wor k, the ability to remove neodymiu m ion from aqueous solutions has studied usin g modified polyethylene terephth alate by acrylic acid (P ET-AA) and acrylamid e (AAm), as adsorbent [۱, ۲].
