Teaching English in a foreign language context is very important and considered by many researchers. In English as a foreign language (EFL) context like Iran most of the instructions are grammar-based. Learning English proficiently specially in EFL context needs four language skills development (listening, speaking, reading, and writing). Teachers and textbooks as the important sources of materials in EFL educational system play vital roles for providing useful materials for students' skills development. Knowing the four language skills helps to learn each language faster and more fundamentally. Improving language skills needs students' active participation. Task-based language learning (TBLL) as a new concept in language teaching method is very helpful to develop students' language ability. In this study a descriptive qualitative research is used to evaluate Iranian tenth-grade senior high school English textbook four language skills activities based on Willis (۱۹۹۶) task-based lesson plan model. Findings related to the study reveal that the textbook does not adequately include four language skills. The main purpose of this study is to provide some useful guides that can be helpful for language teachers and students in tenth-grade senior high school in Iran.
