چکیده مقاله:

Coumarin-containing multi-stimuli-responsive copolymers were synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP), which exhibited fluorescence intensity sensitivity to carbon dioxide by the fluorescence quenching mechanism. Aqueous colloidal dispersion of the vesicular assemblies of copolymers were used for sensing CO۲ gas in the aqueous media by using fluorescence spectroscopy. By decreasing pH of the media upon CO۲ bubbling, Poly(۲-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate) (PDMAEMA) blocks as outer shell of vesicles were protonated and thickness of the vesicular structures was proportionally increased as a result of membrane stress decline. This was finally resulted in decreasing of aggregation state and therefore fluorescence intensity.
