Green and efficient synthesis of novel biologically active substituted tetrahydropyrimidine derivatives

A series of novel substituted tetrahydropyrimidine ۴(a-e) have been designed and synthesized as inhibitors of acetylcholinesterase (AChE). The chemical structures of all newly synthesized compounds were characterized by spectroscopic methods and elemental analyzes. The in vitro studies showed all the synthesized derivatives showed good AChE inhibitory activity more potent than donepezil.
