چکیده مقاله:
This study aimed to investigate the effect of mobile instruction on intermediate students' attitudes and motivations towards learning the English language. The statistical population of the study included ۴۵ intermediate students at Andishe Bartar language institute, Birjand; who were studying the English language. From the mentioned community, ۳۰ students were selected by sampling method. One group (۱۵ students) was randomly selected as the experimental group and was exposed to mobile training for about ۲ months. While the other group (۱۵ students) were trained in the traditional way. In this study, Gardner's attitude and motivation questionnaire was used to measure students' attitudes and motivations towards learning the English language. This questionnaire has been used in internal studies and its validity and reliability have been confirmed. In the end, the comparison of the mean of the two groups indicated that the method of teaching by mobile application had a positive effect on the intensity of motivation, interest, attitude towards English, concrete orientation, and desire to learn English in students. The results also showed that the experimental group compared to the control group did not have a significant effect on Instrumental/Integrative orientation and attitude towards English-speaking people.
