چکیده مقاله:

Microfluidic systems have different applications in the field of cell biology and engineering some advantages of these systems are precise control of environmental conditions, reduction of user intervention, reduction of time, and the amount of materials. The most important microfluidic channels are micromixers, which are used to mix fluids. In this study, the mixing quality is measured in an active micromixer in the presence of an electric field using COMSOL Multiphysics software. The results show that the mixing rate is increased in the presence of an electric field. The microchannel geometry improves the mixing process. The effect of Reynolds number, i.e. inlet fluid velocity, on the mixing index is studied.
