Pregnancy Health in the Covid-۱۹ Pandemic: Mini Review

COVID-۱۹ disease virus has prevailed in the world in an unprecedented manner. Objective: The World Health Organization (WHO) has recognized its widespread prevalence as a public health emergency. Consequently, adhering to health protocols is essential for everyone, including pregnant women. This contagious disease is transmitted through respiratory droplets, physical contact and airborne particles. The disease affects all age groups, in which pregnant women may be more susceptible to Covid ۱۹, so the maternal and fetal immune responses may be different, which in turn can affect pregnant women’s health. There is no evidence of intrauterine or vertical transmission of the disease in pregnant women with COVID-۱۹ infection. Although SARS-COVID۲ can cause an acute respiratory syndrome, it should be noted that it is more contagious in the population than other viruses. Conclusion: Pregnant women should be given priority in strategies focused on the prevention and management of Covid ۱۹ infection.
