چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Ticks as foreign parasites, biological vectors and reservoirs of various diseases, are involved in the transmission of pathogens to humans and animals. The aim of this study was to model the probability of carrier ticks in Ahvaz city.Materials & Methods: Ticks were collected and identified from different parts of cows, sheep and goats in summer and autumn. Baseline maps were drawn and scattering pattern of collected ticks was determined. Results: In this study, ۱۵۶ head of livestock were examined and ۳ species of mites of ۲ genera (Ripphalus, Hyaloma) were identified. The prevalence of Hyaloma margininum, Hyaloma anatolicum, and Ripaphagus sanguinus was calculated for the study areas, respectively. Conclusion: The probability map and the distribution of collected ticks show that the studied cities are suitable for mite activity due to climatic conditions.
