Another Face of Feminism The Case of Iran

Among the most important issues of the current century around the world are women 's issues and rights. For many years, women's advocacy movements and feminist groups have tried to resolve the problems of women. These efforts have succeeded in solving some problems in some areas, and in some other areas they faced difficulties. Various means have been devised and used since the advent of these advocacy and protest movements, and, depending on the time, some have found widespread adoption across the world. The hashtag is one of the latest popular means of protest in cyberspace while public demonstration is one of the oldest. This paper intends to examine the impact of feminist movements and its positive and negative effects in Iran, mainly through the lens of social media activities. To begin, we will present a short history of the women movements in Iranian society and their struggle for their rights.
