تاثیر سیلی ‎مارین، سیپروترون استات و سرماخوردگی بزرگسالان بر فراسنجه ‎های خونی خروس ‎های بومی

Acetaminophen is an antipyretic agent administered in high doses induce severe oxidative damage to liver and extra hepatic tissues in mammals and poultry. Hepatodamaging effects of acetaminophen and antihistamin compounds had been determined in previous studies. Moreover, it has been reported that silymarin has hepatoprotective and nephroprotective properties. Present investigation is performed to find out the effects of silymarin (۴۰۰ mg/kg diet for ۲۰ consecutive day) on some serum metabolites of native mature roosters after oral administration of a cold tablet (Acetaminophen, phenylephrine hydrochloride, chloramphenicol and dextromethorphan hydrobromide at ۴۲.۸, ۰.۶۶, ۰.۲۶ and ۱.۹۷ ۴۲.۸ mg/kg bw/day respectively, from day ۱۵ to day ۲۰ of experiment). Metabolic effects of cyproterone acetate (۱۰ mg/kg bw/day for ۵ days) was also investigated in second experiment. The results showed that silymarin had no significant effect on any of the blood metabolites. Adult cold tablet significantly decreased serum total protein and serum total cholesterol in control group. Silymarin inhibited acetaminophen induced serum protein reduction in treatment group that can be imply to the hepatoprotective effects of silymarin. Cyproterone acetate increased serum testosterone, thyroxin and uric acid values (P<۰.۰۵), but did not significantly affect serum glucose, total cholesterol and total protein. Hypothalamic-pituitary-gonad axis intervention may be involved in increasing serum testosterone levels.
