ORFEUS and its European-Mediterrane Waveform Data Center

OR.FEUS is the European non-profit organisation that aims at coordinating and pro digital, broadband (BB) seismology in the European-Mediterranean area. Started ORFEUS and specifically the Orfeus Data Center (ODC) developed rapidly. An ex tial increase of the number of installed BB stations, rapid developments in data ex and internet facilities and emphasis on large scale data analysis within seismolog search are some of the driving forces. Presently the ODC offers close to ۵۰ GB quality event waveform data to its participants partly on-line and partly off-line. ۰۱ working groups are intensively involved in coordination, support and promotion ac both on the web and in workshops.
