According to the extensive impacts of media on the attitude of audiences, we decided to investigate their reactions to a controversial event of the last year; “US presidential election”. The various elements made this event important not only for American people but also for many around the world including Iranians and many of them react to the recent US election and its news on the social media. In this paper we intend to review the comments of Iranian users listed below the posts of these three media: BBC, VOA, Iran International. We want to analyze the effectiveness of the political and professional policies of the mentioned media on orienting the attitude of Iranian users, and also find out whether the most repeated topics and news characters from user's point of view lived up to these media's approaches. Finally, we’ll discuss that whether today’s media can still play a vital role in determining public opinion’s priorities as the Agenda-setting theory claimed. The result of the present study show that the most repeated news topics obtained from the comments of Iranian users is around Coronavirus. Although the orientations of these media and the users was both critical, there wasn’t any significant relationship between them since characters that were criticized by these media, weren’t necessarily the same as those users mentioned. In the following, while discussing important factors for users during the election, we’ll investigate whether their point of views lived up expectations of these media.
