A special seismically protected structure, established on the basis of system with joint connections CSJC> is studied. The main 'advantage of this system is its applicability to the existing structural systems. Numerical tests are carried out on the SJC, corresponding to a four story framed structure, subjected to seismic excitations, presented by ۵ accelerogrammes. Two criteria for SJC application efficiency are compared. The first criterion is related with the system top displacements, because in a number of Codes there are limitations for the top displacements of the structures. It is an open question how much we reinsure the structure, taking into account the top displacements when we determine the design seismic loading. The second criterion is related with the root mean -square system response values. The regarded criterion reflects the structure behavior during the seismic excitation.
