DETERMINATION OF DYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS OF MULTISTORY BUILDINGS TSING AMBIENT AND FORCED VIBRATION TESTS

Dynamic characteristics of a typical multistory building in Iran have been studied using ambient and forced vibration tests and also Finite Element computational model. The results have shown the success of these types of tests and have revealed differences between conventional computational models and real structures. The measured and computed natural frequencies of vibration of the structure have also been compared to the ones obtained from empirical formulae recommended in Iranian standard.
