RETROFIT ANALYSIS OF ROUTE ۲۴/۵۸۰ INTERCHANGE (MULTI-COLUMN BENT ANALYSIS)

Seismic analysis of the south connector viaduct, connection of east-south and west-south ramps, is the main focus of attention in this study. The interchange can be damaged during a seismic event since the outrigger bents, C-bents and two level bents supporting the interchange were the cause of damage to a similar interchange at ۲۸۰/۱۰۱, in the city of San Francisco, during the Loma Prieta Earthquake in October ۱۹۸۹.This project is among the retrofit projects under study by California Department of Transportation and its construction is scheduled to be completed within the next two years.
