ENGINEERING GEOLOGICAL ZONING AND SEIMIC MICROZONING

The influences of the local site conditions on the amplitudes of the ground shaking, acceleration and on the extent of damage are known for several years. Site conditions include the soil profile, soil properties and topographic structures. Engineering geological zoning use these parameters for dividing of the area into the engineering geological zones and subzones.The map of engineering geological zones provides input data for the seismic microzoning of the area. Computing of the accelerograms and parameters of the wawe motion is realised for each geological zone and subzone. The result is the map of the seismic microzoning where the map sheet is dividing into areas that liave different potential for seismic hazard,
