چکیده مقاله:

Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems are considered as one of the most important energy consuming items in the various constructions. Besides they are considered as vital items in subway systems, Towers, transportation tunnels and auditoriums. Therefore condition monitoring of these systems are essential due to their energy consuming and important performances. Various methods such as visual inspection, oil analysis, Acoustic Emission Testing (AET) are presented for condition monitoring of HVAC systems. Nondestructive testing (NDT) methods such as IR Thermography as well as vibration analyses are also offered as proper methods in this field. In this research vibration analyses and IR Thermography were employed in order to investigate the vibration analyses and condition monitoring of an air handling unit. Overall vibrations as well as Fast Fourier Spectrum of vibrations were obtained by means of a vibration analyzer for different shaft rotational speeds. Natural frequency of air handling unit system was obtained by measuring the vibrations and investigating the overall vibration variations. Besides thermography results revealed temperature variations at different speeds and confirmed the vibration analyses results.
