Financial and economic evaluation, development and production of physalis fruit in greenhouse

In developing countries, one of the most important active and productive sectors in the economy is the agricultural sector. The agricultural sector has emerged as an important producer of essential goods for society, which is due to growth of population, the demand for these goods is increasing. On the other hand, considering the new changes in the world regarding supply chain, local food production has become an important part of agenda in many developed countries too.Agriculture production is a function of important factors such as land, labour, capital, technology and management. But capital investment can be one of the most restrictive inputs for production. Investment in the agricultural sector, takes place in the form of small and large projects. As a result, taking into account the financial factors of the such projects is highly suggested. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the financial and economic production of of ten years.The data has been collected by completing a questionnaire from the Physalis fruit producers in Khuzestan and Shiraz and reputable international websites selling agricultural products.The important factors under the focus in this study include total investment, return on investment (ROI), profit and loss index, return period of capital and other internal ratios. The research results in this study show that the total investment plan was ۷۱۱۰.۳۷ million Rials, the return on investment was ۵ years and the average return on investment was ۳۰.۲۸%.And the production plan of Physalis fruit with ۸۰,۰۰۰ kg per year which has a high economic justification.
