Eutrophication in surface waters, how can it be managed?

The uncontrolled entry of urban and industrial effluents beyond the self-cleaning capacity of lakes, as well as the use of lakes for the development of fish farming and fisheries, has led to the phenomenon of Eutrophication and uncontrolled growth of algae. This phenomenon has a negative effect on aquatic ecosystems, especially lakes.Therefore, in order to prevent this phenomenon, it is necessary to continuously measure Trophic level index or TLI. Also, choosing the right method to remove nitrogen and phosphorus is very essential. In this study, the proposed method for preventing Eutrophication in aquaculture has been introduced as eco-dam method and to remove nitrogen and phosphorus from effluents entering lakes, several different methods of absorption with new adsorbents have been introduced.
