Tactical urban agriculture project in the city of Piacenza, Italy

Tactical urbanism is a new way of city planning and a different method of transforming thecity. This new tactic is noticed as it has the potential to reactivate disregarded, abandoned andunderused areas of the city. In this project, tactical re-filling of the Corneliana bastion inPiacenza based on urban agriculture is investigated. Agricultural production becomes aninteresting strategy for the activation of surplus parts of city, creating new green areas, andpossibility to integrate these spaces with the existing tissue. The psychological effect of "Re-fillthe city" project has direct impact in both social welfare and individual wellness.
