Background: Since the novel coronavirus is expanding rapidly in the world and since there is not a definite cure for it to date, it is urgent to find the potential prevention methods. One of these methods, which has been under special attention is to improve the immune system. Given that having a healthy immune system is so important in infectious diseases, many studies have investigated the immune system and related factors, one of these important factors is known to be an optimal nutritional status.Objective: in this review, we discussed, all the Evidence related to the relevance between micronutrients and the immune system, and so the relation between them and infectious diseases such as COVID-۱۹.Methods: This was a qualitative review study. ۱۲۰ of recent studies around nutrition and COVID-۱۹ were investigated that ۸۰ of them were included in this paper. We also searched the papers relevant to nutritional status and the immune system.Results: Our findings suggest a significant relevance between the proper functions of the immune system and optimal nutritional status and therefore its ability to fight against viral diseases such as COVID -۱۹. Conclusion: We think that an optimal nutritional status has an important effect on the prevention and Salvation from this disease. And performing more investigations in this subject seems necessary.
