چکیده مقاله:

Nanotechnology has applications in all aspects of modern life, especially agriculture. The role of iron in reducing non-biological stresses has not been widely evaluated despite the fact that it is considered an essential element for plant growth. Therefore, in this study, it was attempted to assess the impact of five concentrations of Fe۳o۴ magnetic nanoparticles (۰, ۱۰, ۲۰, ۵۰ and ۱۰۰ mg/L) as well as three CdCl۲ concentrations (۰, ۱۰۰ and ۲۰۰ μM) on tomato plant. Cadmium decreased growth and photosynthesis parameters and increased the content of MDA, H۲O۲ and proline in tomato; however, ۲۰ mg/L concentration of Fe۳O۴ nanoparticles improved cadmium toxicity. Overall, ۲۰ mg/L concentration of Fe۳O۴ nanoparticles is potentially advantageous for plant growth and may stimulate various defense mechanisms of plants in response to cadmium.
